April Unity Hop!

So glad you are joining us today for this month's Unity Blog Hop!
I've got two projects to share with you, and they are from the
Cuddle Animal stamp kit collection by Unity Stamp Company!

First up, is this shabby little tag I made using the Cuddle Teddy Bear!
This could very well be used for a baby gift, using the other sentiment included!!

Lots of different elements like stitching, twine, rick-rack, lace, dies, flowers,
as well as machine stitching to create this one...

Second up, is this card I made using my Copics, dies, and this
amazing new Cuddle Butterfly stamp kit.  After I fussy cut the stamp...

I popped her up using some pop-dots, and her wings were folded a little upward to look
like she is still fluttering!  There's a little machine stitching, and a small banner
used for the sentiment.

So what do you think? Aren't these Cuddle Animals the cutest?
Stop by the Unity on-line store, to see all of the Cuddle Animals stamp kits that
are on sale!  Also, the newest Planner Girl set is out and you can buy it today, or get
it for free with your purchase of $75 or more!!

Now, on to this month's Unity Blog Hop!

Enjoy and hope you'll enjoy all the inspiration we have to share with you today!

Have a wonderful day!

Hip Hop with Unity!!

Hello and thanks for joining this month's Unity Inspiration Hop!
I've got two watercolored cards to share with you today!

I love Phyllis Harris designs, and I thought these images below would be
so sweet in watercolor, so here ya go...

I used the background paper to inspire me to create
some watercolored flowers, so that is what I did here!
Kinda like the way they turned out and hope it will inspire
you to give it a try, if you haven't tried to watercolor some
handmade flowers.  They really compliment that
sweet image of the little girl and duckie!

Then, my next card is watercolored in soft colors to compliment
the distressed ribbon to create a simple and shabby card!

Just love how he innocently is holding onto that flower (smile)!

There's much to share, so hope you have fun on today's hop!
I'll be back later in this week to share more cards with  this new release!

Wish You Were Here...

Hope you enjoy my latest shabby chic card, using my Cheery Lynn Design dies,
along with pretty designer paper, and also some distress inks!!

Let's start by using the Fiona's Magic Mirror die for the base of the card,
and then use the Card Maker Rectangle Classic right on top using
the polka-dot designer papers!  You'll notice that the embossing of the
Fiona's Magic Mirror really stands out, and here is how I did this...
Die cut on ivory card stock, then use some Black Soot Distress Stain.
Right away, you'll notice how the stain only stays on the
top and not in the recessed pieces of the die!

Then, I die cut the Concentric Circles Mesh piece
twice from ivory card stock,  and only used a portion of it!
I distress inked both pieces, to match the flower, and then layered
one piece right on top of the other!  I used pop dots underneath
to raise it from the bottom framed piece.

Lastly, I created this distressed big flower using the leaf from
the Build a Flower #1. and the flower from the Judy's Blooms die!

To finish, I took the  Pierced Banners, and also distress inked it!
Then, I stamped the sentiment and cut it up, and placed onto
the banner to mimic a film strip effect!

Cheery Lynn dies used:

Come back tomorrow for another Cheery Lynn
project featuring a few of the new release dies!!

Cheery Lynn Designs New Release!!

Hope you are enjoying all the fabulous projects showcasing

I'm excited to share this project with you today....
My inspiration comes from the AMAZING new Shuttered Window w/Flower Box die!
I love the way you can ever so slightly open the little shutters...
The top of the window frame as well as the flower box both have
a bit of dimension to them...gotta love that!!!

The window has been popped up using my pop dots...
and is framed with the new Daphne Doily!!

and built an array of flowers popping right out of that flower box!!
Also, I added a little sparkle of glitter to the center of each flower!

Even the little mini butterfly has a tiny flower added!
Lastly, I hung a Tag #1 w/sentiment to my crinkly ribbon!

Here's a list of all the Cheery Lynn Designs dies that I used on my project:

Enjoy your day!

Hugs & Smiles,
