La-La Land Crafts - New Release Day!!!

It's La-La Land Release Day!  Make sure you stop by the La-La Land Blog to see what the rest of the designers have to share with you! 

Today, I am featuring the "Heart Chair"! It's one of many new accessories that you're just gonna love!  Immediately, I thought of "Darling Marci" sitting on a cushy & comfy velvet chair, outlined so elegantly in gold and brown tones!

After all, the My Mind's Christmas Designer papers just had that feel I was going for in my card! Oh, the christmas tree just had to be right behind this little cutie, for my sweet Christmas card!  See the pillow propping her up (part of the stamp)!  Then, the tiny rhinestones were added to the back of the chair for a little texture.

The Christmas tree is a Silhouette die as well as the scalloped square base of the card!  I added some jute to go around the tree, distressed it with ink, and backed the ornaments with more designer paper.  Tiny bits of distressed stickles were added inside the middle of the ornaments for extra shine.

The possibilities are grand with all the La-La Land stamps that you can use with the Heart Chair...or, you can just leave it as is too!

Inspiration Monday - Black & White

Hello there!  How was your weekend?  For me it was very enjoyable and relaxing, cooking with the family...especially after filling up on all that Thanksgiving food, and getting a head start on some early Christmas shopping!

So, you ready to color in black and white?  La-La Land Craft's inspiration Monday, this week, is to use the color combo "black & white"!  

Here's what I came up with featuring Darling Marci!  The gorgeous papers are by Teresa Collins, and some of the dies I used are from My Favorite Things and Spellbinders.  Her dress has been paper-pieced, and I even added some blingy black buckle ribbon slots to the ribbon for some extra sparkle.  Slightly added a few pen dashes onto the white dies.  I tell ya...it was hard for me not to add a little color into this card...but, the end result did put a smile on my face!

Dots & Spots!!

It's alot about the Dots & Spots over at La-La land Crafts on this Inspirational Monday!  I decided to feature Darling Marci today because of the dress that she is wearing!  I wanted something with quite a bit of white space, to add some hand-drawn dots!!  What do you think? 

These gorgeous designer papers by My Mind's Eye - "Blush" were perfect with the tiny dots in the rose petal flower and  paper I used for the doily with teeny tiny dots!  Do you see any other "dots" and "spots" on my card..hint hint...they are more in shape than on patterned paper (smile)!!

Inspirational Monday: La-La Land Crafts

So, hope you had a great weekend!  It always goes by so fast..doesn't it!  I enjoyed my weekend relaxing with my family as well as crafting with some sweet friends!  

 We've got another inspirational theme happening at La-La Land Crafts!  This week's theme is to "create a round card"!

My card is a round flower shaped card that's been cut with my Silhouette machine!  My inspiration came from the actual flowers on the beautiful "My Mind's Eye - Happy Go Lucky" designer papers.  I knew Darling Marci would look so totally adorable with these papers.  Love her sitting on top of the borders that go across the card!

Happy Birthday from Darling Marci!

Sharing a special card I made for one of my sweet girlie friend using my Darling Marci stamp from La-La Land Crafts!  She is paired up with the super fun and gorgeous My Mind's Eye  Stella and Rose "Gertie" designer papers.  The card design is pretty clean and simple, so I could highlight this little cutie!
 
Darling Marci is sitting right on top of the Silhouette birthday cake die!  Oh my gosh, why did I wait so long to upload to the newer Silhouette software.  It was easy as 1, 2, 3!  You see, I have an older version of the Silhouette machine (took me 4 months to pull it out of the box) before I started using it!  So, you getting the picture here with me being a procrastinator... and for what (giggle) ??  Anyway, there are certain dies that you can use only with the newer software update, so don't delay..if you were sitting on the fence with updating your software!   

I've ink distressed and used Zap Dots to make everything stand out!  Then, lastly added some little sunflower pearls to the cake and machine stitched the border of the card!

I'm tempted to make another birthday cake card using another Silhouette die cut!  I'm a little addicted at the moment, and do need to make a few more for upcoming bithdays!
