One Sip at a Time...

Making coffee cards, is always so pleasing to me!
It's as if I am smelling the scent of fresh brewed about now.

Loving this new Unity Stamp Company kit called "One Sip at a Time"!
Comes with four charming sentiments in this kit...

Colored with distress markers.  Little vintage twist to this fall, coffee themed card.
Little bit of stitching, a tag with twine and a small black safety pin to add
a little charm to this beautiful stamp!

This kit is on sale, and there are plenty more stamps being released.

Come join the Insta Hop with Unity Stamp Co and Brutus Monroe.
I'm participating in it, and it goes through until October 1st!

Merry Christmas...a little early!!

Are you up for another Cheery Lynn Design challenge?  This week we are adding "lace"!
It's right there down at the bottom section of my Christmas Card!

To match my lace...
I made three different flowers: Sweet Williams, Shasta Daisy, and Cherry Blossoms
in various shades of reds and pinks with hints of green and yellow !

The Oval Stacker die was great for laying the Merry Christmas Hanger sentiment.
I added Stickles to the top of the sentiment for some pop & some shimmer!
Then, I tucked the Fanciful Flourish and Dimensional Small Leaves #2 here and there.

Top area of the card is two tiny French Pastry Doilies.  I cut them in half and tucked them beneath!

It's a little early for Christmas, but I especially had fun creating
(and not at the last minute) as I typically find myself making Christmas cards way to late!

Here is a list of dies I used on my card:

Enjoy the Journey...

Hope you are enjoying your weekend!
Sharing my Cheery Lynn Designs challenge card with you
 featuring "Creative Corners"!

Instead of having them appear on the outer edge of my card,
I decided to highlight them right behind the Circle Stacker!
Love how subtle they appear, but yet they pop right out at ya!

Made a scrunchy flower using my Stacker Flower #2 die,
and added a brad for the sentiment!
You'll see the Horizon Fishtail Banners, and Horizon Square Boutique Stacker
compliment each other oh beautifully!

List of dies used:

Enjoy your day and hope you'll get some time in
to craft and participate in this week's challenge

Life is Sweeter...

Hope you are having a marvelous weekend...
It's time for the "dry embossing" challenge over at Cheery Lynn Designs!!

My vintage style card features the Petite Heart Emboss Plate.
I added a little distress ink to the tops of the petite hearts so they'd stand out some more!

I also added the Burble Emboss Plate to the top of the Pair of Ferns.
Love the little bit of dimension and texture it adds!
The Cherry Blossom flowers were dyed with various Ranger Distress Stains...

Here's a list of dies that I used:

Have a wonderful Sunday and
Happy Mother's Day to all Mom's!

Anything Goes...

Hi there!  Sharing today's card made for the next
Cheery Lynn Designs challenge, which is "anything goes"!

My inspiration was drawn from the beautiful vintage style roses on
this paper pad by KaiserCraft called Key to my Heart!
The card features a big rose and some smaller rose buds, just starting to bloom right out!

I really enjoying making handmade flowers, so these roses were super fun to make!
The main rose was made using the Gardenia strip and the center part is actually the Medium Rose die
in colors of lipstick red, coral, and light pink!
The smaller rose buds were made using the Large Rose die.
The outer edges of the petals are covered in Wink of Stella "clear"!
Love the vintage look it gives to the flowers!
I have some olive branches spreading out from under the roses...

Quite a bit of layering using various doily dies like the
Ankara Lace, Felicity Tiny Doily, and the few Circle dies!

Finally, I tied the bunch of roses with some crinkly ribbon
distressed in colors to compliment the roses and paper!

Have a fabulous day!

Cheery Lynn Designs Challenge 101 - Halloween!!

Hello! It's time for another Cheery Lynn Designs Challenge!
This week it's all about "Halloween"!!

Today, I'm happy to share a wicked spooky card with you...
Tearing, stitching, and distressing to match the spider web background designer paper.
Quite a bit of layering, of different dies...even added a skeleton and paper-cut out banner
right in front of the tiny French Pastry doily.

Those Shasta Daisy flowers are distress inked in various colors.
The centers are part of the Embellishment #1 dies.
Then, I added my own handmade stick pin in matching colors
of orange, purple, and a bit of gold brass metal!

The sentiment is part of the designer paper cut-out! I hand trimmed all around the base!
I love the way it coordinates with the French Flair Stacker die (bats flying toward the moon)!

Here's a list of all the Cheery Lynn Designs Dies Used:

Have a terrific Sunday!!

12 Tags of 2012: October!!!

So happy to be sharing this fun tag I made this weekend!  I always love participating in
This one is for October, and of course, its a frightfully favorite time of the year for me!

It was a very special time this weekend being shared with my sweet friends.
We put together our very own kits after cutting, preparing, and sharing our
Tim Holtz products with each other!
We all came up with different tags, even if we pretty much used the same products,
and we each added our own little flair... and this is how mine ended up!

Lots of goodies used here...
grungeboard, stamps, stains, distress inks, chit chat stickers,
Kraft core paper, tissue paper, tinsel twine, distress marker,
dies, stickles glitter, distress stickles dry glitter...WOW!!

Hope you are having a wonderful Sunday!

Inspiration Monday - Something for Dad!!

Monday's here, and time for Inspiration Monday at La-La Land Crafts Blog!  This week's inspiration is "Something for Dad".  For me, I just had to go straight to Fedora Hat Luka, and make him a little vintage style!

Lots of different things used here on my card....like distress inks (huge clock die cut), Glimmer Misting (on muslin), Copic coloring (Luka stamp), wood embellies (clocks and star button), metal (circle sentiment), jute, and muslin (bow) used here on my card.  Had lots of fun mixing all this stuff together!  I even added a little Glossy Accents to the face of the watch!  The huge clock die (by Tim Holtz) was cut twice and layered to give some added dimention...and the card base, well that's from my Silhouette (designed by Samantha Walker)!!

Copics:
Hair -  W1, W3, W5, W7
Skin - E000, E02, R11
Outfit, Hat, Shoes & Socks - BG09, B37, Y21,
YR14, YR24, E25, E27, E89
PocketWatch - Y28, W1, W3

Hope this inspires you to make a card or project using La-Land stamps for that special GUY!!

Unity Blog Hoppin' Vintage Style!!

Happy Hip Hoppin' Day!  Can you believe it's the last hip hop for 2011?  It's been a blast this year, but we even have more in store for 2012!  So, let's keep this hop going...

Today, I am sharing the button card stamp from the Dec 2011 KOTM "Filled with Love"!  So, many wonderful stamps come in this set, but this one really stood out to me...so, of course, I had to use it right away!

Paired up with October Afternoon "Farmhouse"designer papers, miscellany, and flower sack die cuts, I came up with this vintage style card!   I've added some machine stitching, even some DMC Floss, stick pin, lace, ribbon, jute, and buttons!

For more inspiration, and check out what fabby creation Lisa Henke  has to share with you today!!
