Happy Wishes from Genie Marci

It's fall...can you believe it?  I'm kind of excited about it, 'cause I am ready to go apple picking, and start baking again (I tend to do this more at this time of the year)!

Time for Inspiration Monday at La-La Land Crafts!  Today, the designers are featuring "Autumn Colors" on our projects!

I chose to color my Genie Marci in some rich, deep, fall colors!  To add some dimension and texture, I've usd a couple of embossing folders to the Glitz papers and distress inks as well!  I hope you'll be inspired to come and play along with us this week!

Details - "Happy Wishes" Card
Stamp: La-La Land Crafts (Genie Marci); Papers: Glitz; Distress Inks; Flowers: Prima; Dies: Spellbinders; Copics: Hair: E08, E27, E39; Skin: E000, E01; Outfit/Headband: Y28, BG05, BG09 BG01; Teapot: E08, E09

Have a fabulous day!

Guest Designer Spot on Really Reasonable Ribbon!!

Sharing a couple of cards that I made as Guest Designer for Really Reasonable Ribbon  this past Monday!  If you'd like, you can check out Really Reasonable Ribbon's Ramblings Blog where  I go into much more detail of how I used the gorgeous products in these cards below.

I have to tell you that I have been aching to use this Studio 490 stamp set by Wendy Vecchi for quite some time, so I was pleased I could incorporate them into this vintage style card below.  I kept the card mostly in Kraft color and let the beautiful ribbons, laces, and twine pop out.  The little flower is one that I handmade using the Coffee Filter Tutorial I made awhile back!  I am kind of addicted to them right now..so hope you are not tired of seeing them!

Details - "When the Heart Speaks" Card
Supplies - Cardstock: Papertrey Ink & Recollections; Embossing Folder: Cuttlebug; Die Cuts: Spellbinders (Classic Ovals Small & Classic Scallop Ovals  Small) & Sizzix (Bigz Top Note); Stamps: Studio 490 byWendy Vecchi (Love to Make Art); Handmade Flower: Made by Me; Leaves: Making Memories; Stick Pin: Maya Road;  3D Zapdots: Helmar; Pearl Flourishes: ; Distress Inks: Ranger; Ribbons, Lace & Baker's twine: Really Reasonable Ribbon;

Then, for this shabby card, when I saw the pale pink wrinkle ribbon, I knew I wanted to be the focus of my card.  I gathered the ribbon on the top edge and then tied it to form this circular bottom layer to my flower embellishment.  If you look closely, you can see that I used a Silhouette cutting file designed by Samantha Walker that's right underneath the flowers!!

Oh, and the half moon scallop border you see on the top and bottom going across..well that's another Silhouette cutting file designed by Samantha Walker too!!  I love how you may think it's two punched borders, but in actuality it's one long piece of paper die cut...and all I did was just layer the green designer paper right on top!!  Pretty sneaky huh?? (smile).

Details - "Thanks for your Kindness" Card
Supplies - Cardstock: Recollections; Designer Paper: Prima; Flowers: Prima; Buttons: My Stash; Adhesive Pearls: Queen & Company; Stamp: Taylored Expressions (Beary Special); 3D Zapdots: Helmar; Distress Inks: Ranger: Silhouette Dies: Designed by Samantha Walker3_nesting_retro_flowers_C00494_19210) & (dual_edge_half_moon_scallop_C20090825164938_19210); Ribbons, Lace & Baker's twine: Really Reasonable Ribbon;

Hope you enjoyed my cards today, and I will be back later to post my Unity Hip Hop projects!!  So exciting 'cause we have a little sneaky to share with you..so on back later tonight!!

Have a great day!

La-La Land - Challenge LLWWC#50 - Christmas!

We sure had fun celebrating La-La Land Craft's 1st Beach Bash party and having Irina announce a new character, Marci!  Then, this Tuesday Irina announced yet another character named Luka!  I just know these characters are gonna be a big hit, as they are the sweetest and most adorable!!  If you are interested in purchasing either character in digi, just visit the La-La Land store today!!

Now, for today's La-La Land Crafts challenge LLWWC#50, we are creating Christmas cards!  I went the non-traditional route and chose to work with a soft color combo.  The designer papers I used are from Webster's, and I just adore that "Winter's Wings/Home for the Holidays" 6x6 paper pad!  I've made quite a few cards with this set!!  Winter La La is all bundled up in her sweet winter attire!!  I've added some embossing using my Cuttlebug "Distressed Snow" folder!  I added those sweet little flowers I purchased from Michael's for 50% off!! Yeah..I love a good buy!!  And, those sweet little pearls are from Michael's too at $1.99!

Be Inspired - Challenge #83

This is my 2nd post for the day, so if you are looking for the Sneak Peeks for {ippity}'s Spring Release, please scroll down one post!!

It's Wednesday and it's Be Inspired Day at the Cuttlebug Challenge Blogspot!  Hope you can come and play along this week!  The challenge is to create a project that is "Kid Inspired"!   There's lots of inspiration, so stop by, and see what the rest of the Design Team has to share with you!!

Isn't this designer paper from K & Company the cutest?  I love all the little critters, and thought this would be so cool to make a little boy card with that gator on it!  I made a little scene of him walking with the big puffy embossed clouds in the background using my Swiss Dots Cuttlebug folder!!  I've added some brown stitching and zig zag machine stitching for a very simple card with just a bit of character to it!  I hope a special little boy will love this card on his 3rd Birthday!!

Supplies - Embossing Folder: Cuttlebug by Provocraft; Designer Paper: K&Company; Sticker: K& Company; Rhinestone: Michael's
