H{ippity} Hop..Making Easel Cards!!

It's beginning to feel alot more like Christmas, but what's up with the weather...just a little warm this weekend here!  How about with you?  I did not do too much Christmas shopping, but I was happy just to finish decorating, putting up the lights..and finishing just one more Christmas Card!

Lisa Arana is hosting this week's {ippity} challenge IHHC54 - make an "easel" card!  So, I thought I'd sneak another holiday card in!  If you'd like, SCS has an awesome "easel card" tutorial and video to show you just how to make one!!

The {ippity} stamp set I am using  "Season of Joy"!  I used Archival Platinum Planet ink onto this gorgeous "Christmas Town" designer paper by Lily Bee Design.  I kept the design clean and simple to show off the background paper.

The inside is also simple to show off the "Merry Christmas" print on the green designer paper.  I just added three big black pearls to the left side for some added dimension and used a border edge to help prop the front of the card!

Details - "Merry Christmas" Easel Card
Supplies - Stamps: {ippity} "Season of Joy"; Designer Papers: LilyBee Designs "Christmas Town"; Cardstock: Recollections (Black); Flower: Recollections; Felt Leaves: Making Memories: Ink: Archival (Platinum Planet); Swirls: Want2Scrap (Black Rhinestone); Adhesive Pearls: Want2Scrap (Black); Border Edge Punch: Recollections; Decorative Scissors: ProvoCraft (Mini Scallops);
Have a wonderful week!!

Unity Hip Hop - Grateful Mini Journal!!

I love the theme for this week's Unity Hop - Grateful/Thankful projects!!  Right away, I decided to use my ippity "A Moment in Time" sentiment.  I pulled out my 8x8 Graphic 45 - Steampunk Debutante designer papers because I wanted to have that "autumn" feel for my small "Grateful Mini Journal"!!

This journal booklet is made by using one of my Silhouette Dies designed by Samantha Walker!!  It's called "3 Nesting Artsian Shapes" (C00493_19210) " and it comes with three different files in this one set!!  The ippity sentiment was stamped onto a Spellbinder die cut and then I added little gold pearl pen dots around the border and a few dots on top of the tiny butterflies and the end of the sentiment swirl!!

Here's a close up of the side view, so you can see that my journal is pretty thick for being a mini!!  Now, I can start filling it up on a daily basis for everything that I am grateful/thankful for in my life!  Hope this inspires you to make one too!   They are quick and so much fun to make!!

Oh..and not to forget...I have a winner to announce for the "handmade" flower challenge for World Cardmaking Day!!  WINNER is MARTHA (username: creatingisfun)!!!  So Martha, send an email to Jimmi at this address: jimmi.mayo@gmail.com, and she will send your "You Deserve" ippity stamp set prize out to you!!  Thanks so much to everyone who played along..I was amazed at all the awesome handmade flowers you all made!

Now, it's time for you to head on over to see what fabulous creation Kelly has to share with you today!! Hope to talk to you later in the SCS forum!!  Have a blessed day!

H{ippity} Hop - Show it in PINK!!

Hello sweet friends!! Today, I am hosting {ippity} challenge IHHC46, which is to use "PINK" in your project in honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness month! So, let's show it in pink!

Today's card was made using the {ippity}"Straight from the Heart " stamp sentiment!  It was stamped onto a Spellbinder die.  The pink designer paper has been embossed for added texture, and the cream colored ribbons were made to mimic the lovely symbol used for breast cancer awareness.  My card base is a Silhouette die, as well as the 2-piece label that runs across the middle of the card!

Hope you will come and join us this week to participate in this challenge over at the SCS forum!!  I'd love to see how you show it in PINK!!

Have a blessed week!

Unity Hoppin'!!!

I'm lovin' the short week, 'cause it's Thursday and that means it's Unity Hip Hop Day!!  Today, I am using the  ippity stamp sets  noted above the card to make this "Feel Better Soon" card (oh my gosh..I just realized that's 4 stamps from 4 different sets)!  I figured what better way to brighten someone's day, by sending them a card filled with flowers!!

You can see right away, I drew my inspiration from the lovely flowers that are on the background paper you see on my card.  The papers are from the 6x6 pad called "Restoration", which is one of Crater Paper's newer collections!!  When I saw my ippity flowers and leaves set, I knew I had to make a card to coordinate with this paper pack.

The flowers are paper pieced with Crate papers and the leaves were colored with Copics and then ink distressed with Ranger Tea Dye (my very fave)!!  The mid background section is in ivory so as not to loose the main focus of my card..but doesn't that lovely background just scream "happiness"!!  Finished up by adding a beautiful crinkly ribbon that matches perfectly with the blue in the paper..how sweet when that happens!!

So, that's my story for today!  Have fun hoppin' along, and now I will send you on your way to lovely Lisa's Blog  to see what totally fab project she has to share with you today!!

Unity Hip Hop Time!!

Happy Unity Hip Hop Day!! I've got a Christmas card to share with you today!  It's a card that I made for the SCS ippity challenge IHHC35 that Eva's hosting this week!

The stamps I am using are from the ippity "Season of Joy" stamp set!  The designer papers are from Webster's! I added the Silhouette square shape using Kraft cardstock, stamped the label set using Kraft cardstock also.  The inner part of the label is Webster's paper!  I used my Spellbinder, and eyed that section of the designer paper to grab just a little tiny bit of that beautiful rose!  I love that little owl that is on the designer paper, so I just had to add him in the right place for this card!  Simple design, but I wanted the papers and label/sentiment to "pop" (used Helmar 3D Zap dots beneath for that dimension)!!

So, that's about it for today! Have fun on tfe Unity hip hop, and thanks for stopping by to visit me today!!  Time to check out what gorgeous creation Kelly has to share with you today!

H{ippity} Hop Monday!!

Thanks for stopping by today and joining me in this week's H{ippity} Hop!  I am hosting this week's challenge over at the SCS ippity forum, so I hope that you will stop by to play..and to see all the beautiful creations!!

For my card, I put my focus on the colors contained in the IHHC30 Inspirational Photo!  I immediately fell in love with these beautiful Fancy Pants papers - "Wishful Thinking"!!  Aren't they so beautiful?  There are more gorgeous papers that I plan on using from this collection...for sure!!

I  was also inspired by the beautiful birds, flowers, and sentiment within the photo, so I grabbed my sweet little birdie stamp from the "Fall for You" ippity stamp set, and the beautiful quote from the "Delightful Little Things " ippity stamp set and lastly created some sweet handmade flowers (click on close up images below to enlarge) using my Helmar 450 Quick Dry!!  The rose paper is a Silhouette die and the pink/cream paper is from a Spellbinder die cut, which both have been popped out using Helmar 3D Zap Dots!  I added two different Glimmer Mist crinkly ribbons (Watermelon and Peppermint Stick) to add that extra pop of color just like in the inspirational photo!!

Today at the Cuttlebug Challenge Blogspot, we have an "Easter Project" challenge featuring stamping! I'm using the sweetest little {ippity} chickie stamp, along with the little scallop stamp strip! They both come from the "Sweet Thoughts of Spring" {ippity} stamp set by Unity! I've paper pieced her and used my Copic markers, and even tucked her into my sweet little treat box...see how she's peeking out!! And guess what? I filled the little treat box with those yummy coconut M&M's that I can not seem to get enough of lately!! And, to go along with my sweet treat...I made a matching Easter card!
