My second card is a Silhouette die designed by Samantha Walker (Card Ornate Gate Fold C01100_19210).  The white background has been embossed with a Sizzix embossing folder (Flower Vine & Twizzle Set), and the center is a Just Rite Stamp sentiment from the "Whimsical Christmas" set!  I kept to cardstock so all the beautiful details of the embossing and die cuts would make the card pop!  Oh and not to forget,  I used American Crafts "Dot Adhesive" Runner on my projects!

Unity Hip Hop - Grateful Mini Journal!!

I love the theme for this week's Unity Hop - Grateful/Thankful projects!!  Right away, I decided to use my ippity "A Moment in Time" sentiment.  I pulled out my 8x8 Graphic 45 - Steampunk Debutante designer papers because I wanted to have that "autumn" feel for my small "Grateful Mini Journal"!!

This journal booklet is made by using one of my Silhouette Dies designed by Samantha Walker!!  It's called "3 Nesting Artsian Shapes" (C00493_19210) " and it comes with three different files in this one set!!  The ippity sentiment was stamped onto a Spellbinder die cut and then I added little gold pearl pen dots around the border and a few dots on top of the tiny butterflies and the end of the sentiment swirl!!

Here's a close up of the side view, so you can see that my journal is pretty thick for being a mini!!  Now, I can start filling it up on a daily basis for everything that I am grateful/thankful for in my life!  Hope this inspires you to make one too!   They are quick and so much fun to make!!

Oh..and not to forget...I have a winner to announce for the "handmade" flower challenge for World Cardmaking Day!!  WINNER is MARTHA (username: creatingisfun)!!!  So Martha, send an email to Jimmi at this address: jimmi.mayo@gmail.com, and she will send your "You Deserve" ippity stamp set prize out to you!!  Thanks so much to everyone who played along..I was amazed at all the awesome handmade flowers you all made!

Now, it's time for you to head on over to see what fabulous creation Kelly has to share with you today!! Hope to talk to you later in the SCS forum!!  Have a blessed day!

H{ippity} Hop - It's "OCT"!

Hello and welcome to another {ippity} hop!  Hope you had a relaxing weekend and got a chance to enjoy World Cardmaking Day!  If you haven't played any of the SCS Unity/ippity challenges, you still have some time..just check them out right here at the Unity Challenge Forum.

Today, I am sharing a card using the beautiful Crate Papers- "Restoration" collection!  For this week's {ippity} challeng IHHC44, Lisa's challenging us to use the following items that spell out "OCT"!  How fun!! "O" for old ; "C" for crinkly, and  "T" for twine!

The butterfly was cut from a Cuttlebug die and then sprayed with "Mimosa" Glimmer Mist!  Then, I took the  music sheet stamp from the {ippity} "Music of My Heart" stamp set, and stamped right onto the butterfly!  On top, I added a little coffe filter flower, button, and "twine" bow to the center of the butterfly.  The "crinkly" ribbon was tied in a double bow, and then two "old" buttons were added to the center of the ribbon bow.  The buttons are all from a jar of buttons I received from my Mom a long time ago! The sentiment is from the {ippity} "Just Wanted to Say" stamp set!

Details- "Thinking of You" Card
Supplies - Stamps: ippity; Designer Paper: Crate Paper (Recollections); Cardstock: Recollections; Crinkly Ribbon: My Stash; Glimmer Mist: Mimosa (butterfly) & Watermelon (ribbon); Distress Ink: Ranger Vintage Photo; Die Cut: Cuttlebug (Butterfly) & Spellbinders (Circles); Coffe Filter Flower: Handmade by Me; Buttons: My Stash; Twine: Michael's; Adhesive Pearls: Queen Bee; Border Punch; Recollections; Adhesive Runner: Helmar;

Oh my..it's Thursday, and the weeks flown by for me!  I hope it's been a good week for you too!  Sharing an inspirational card today, using ippity's "What Matter's Most " stamp set!

Every time I see a new ippity and/or Unity quote in a set...I just have to read it an absorb it immediately!  They are always so inspiring, and I can always find one for the right moment!  One that touches me today is this one here that I'm sharing with you today!

My card features these rich, bold, and heartwarming colors and the papers I used are from my 8x8
designer papers pad by Graphic 45 "Steampunk Debutante!!  I followed the HHSC27 sketch, added a little Copic coloring to the sentiment, and then added a sweet little jute bow to my crinkly ribbon!  There are also few little paper cut butterflies all a flutter too!

If you get the chance, come by the SCS Unity Challenge forum to HIP HOP chat with me later, and for some prize give-aways!  If you'd like, come and play along and create a card using the HHSC27 sketch below!!

H{ippity} Hop...Let's create with metal!

So, fall has now arrived, and yet we hit the 90's this weekend!!  I am ready to go apple pickin' and start baking apple pies, but I think I may just need to wait about a week or so to do this!

I chose to work with these Indie Girl - Sassafras Lass Designer papers to go with the gold metal flower I made!!  Eva's hosting this weeks ippity challenge IHHC43, to "use metal"..and this was a fun for me to try and use metal in a different way.  The metal is pretty lightweight so it made it pretty pliable to shape and form the flower! The beautiful sentiment is from the ippity "Delightful Little Things!

Details - "Anything is Possible" Card
Supplies - Stamps: ippity; Designer Paper: Indie Girl by Sassafras Lass; Cardstock: Core'dinations; Border Punch: EK Success; Die Cut: Spellbinders; Leaves: Recollections; Crinkly Ribbon: My stash; Stamps: Memento; Adhesive: 450 Quick Dry by Helmar

To make the lace really stand out, I decided to add the black cardstock to the card.  Added a few pearls down the sides.  Then, to make the entire center of the card POP...I added Helmar Zapdots to the back of the rectangular rose colored cardstock.  The beautiful single rose with buds are colored with Copics and then adhered to some Spellbinder dies!!

Just thought I'd share with you of what others stamps come in this "DeLovely" stamp set  (Cosmo Cricket!! Love everything about this set!!

Unity Hoppin'!!!

I'm lovin' the short week, 'cause it's Thursday and that means it's Unity Hip Hop Day!!  Today, I am using the  ippity stamp sets  noted above the card to make this "Feel Better Soon" card (oh my gosh..I just realized that's 4 stamps from 4 different sets)!  I figured what better way to brighten someone's day, by sending them a card filled with flowers!!

You can see right away, I drew my inspiration from the lovely flowers that are on the background paper you see on my card.  The papers are from the 6x6 pad called "Restoration", which is one of Crater Paper's newer collections!!  When I saw my ippity flowers and leaves set, I knew I had to make a card to coordinate with this paper pack.

The flowers are paper pieced with Crate papers and the leaves were colored with Copics and then ink distressed with Ranger Tea Dye (my very fave)!!  The mid background section is in ivory so as not to loose the main focus of my card..but doesn't that lovely background just scream "happiness"!!  Finished up by adding a beautiful crinkly ribbon that matches perfectly with the blue in the paper..how sweet when that happens!!

So, that's my story for today!  Have fun hoppin' along, and now I will send you on your way to lovely Lisa's Blog  to see what totally fab project she has to share with you today!!

Marci with Rose is Sweet as Can Be!

Hope you are having a wonderful day!  Today, I am sharing this sweet little "hi there" card I made using Marci with Rose!  I chose to adhere Marci with Rose to a flower shaped die cut and to make her stand out a little, by adding some pink handstitching.  I added a sweet little crinkly ribbon and rose...and the sweet little sentiment is attached with a pearl stickpin!  The flower diecut and the border punch right beneath are both "popped" out by using some Helmar 3D Zap Dots!!

Marci with Rose & Cheerleader Marci  are both available now for a limited time in digi form at the La-la Land Shop, so you may want to grab her quickly!!  Not to fret...she will be back on September 15th in rubber, along with the other new images!

H{ippity} Hop...Fall is on it's Way!!

Happy Labor Day...hope you've been enjoying the long holiday weekend!!  I've got a Fall Notecard to share with you today!! Yes, Fall is just around the corner and our lovely ippity guest Designer, Angie, is hosting this week's ippity SCS challenge to "create a fall theme" project!!

"Fall Notecard" (ippity "Fall for You" stamp set)

The pumpkins, leaves, & scallops around the circle die cut have all been colored in using Copic markers.  I made the little flower by layering 2 flowers together and then adding a little ivory flower to the middle.  Made little squiggly green vines coming out from beneath the flower!  The brown and white ribbon has been folded underneath the die cut to add more texture and layering!  Then, I used a couple of different border punches, and distress inked away!  Oh...and I just love these Bo Bunny designer papers...perfect for FALL!!

Enjoy your day!

h{ippity) hop Monday!

Hello friends...it's Monday and time for h{ippity} hop and another new challenge!   Kelly is hosting the SCS ippity challenge this week which is "Back to School", so hope you can come along and play this week!

There's a new collection of papers called "Mid Term" by Bella Blvd. geared toward college students.  I love the color palette, and the names on some of the papers are pretty cool too!  The blue background paper I used is called "Steve's Keys".  Love the keyboard keys..and then, the red paper is called "Physics"!  I love how fresh and funky this new line is, and I doplan on using more of it in the future!

Pairing these papers with ippity's "Books a Flutter" stamp and sentiment was fun!  I used the Top Note diec cut by Sizzix and then layered the two Spellbinder dies on top!  The books have been colored in with my Prismacolor pencils!

Hope you have a great week!

Unity Hip Hop - Many Thanks the Paisley Way!!

Happy Hip Hoppin' Day Friends!!  I think with the little heat wave we've encountered here this week, I am into bright and sunshine-y type creations right now!!   I am kind of sad that the hot weather has decided to come right at the tail end of summer..but it is all good!  It's supposed to be a beautiful sunny weekend, and not too hot!

NEW ippity Bitty Pixie Paisley Stamp Set:

I had a blast using the new ippity "Bitty Pixie Paisley" stamp set to make this stamped paisley paper! Using a couple of Spellbinder die cuts, I placed the stamped paisley paper right in the center of the big flower die!! My decision to use this big flower die cut  was the sweet little tiny flowers that are  inside of the paisley stamp image!!  Thought it would match the same pattern.

Then, I cut out another Spellbinder die cut, and stamped the sweet little sentiment! Everything's backed in black to make everything pop! There are Helmar 3D Zap Dots to add some POP, and a few little "X" stitches to the sides of the card for a tad bit more fun!!   And, I just love this red check ribbon with my sunshine-y card..don't you? (giggle)

Now it's time for you to hop on over to Kelly's blog, to check out her fabulous creation!!

"Happy Birthday" - Birthday Marci!!

Hello there! It's Tuesday already..oh my gosh!!  I am sharing this card I made using Birthday Marci over at La-La Land Crafts Blog today, and I also wanted to share it here on my blog with you too!

Irina has totally outdone herself with this NEW Marci line!!  You are gonna love the whole line that will be coming out in rubber on September 15th!!  So, you will definitely want to check the  La-La Land Crafts Store on September 15th to get yours quickly..as I know they are gonna fly out the door!

I wanted this card to speak FUN..FUN..FUN!! So, I decided to use these fabulous designer papers by My Mind's Eye - Quite Contrary (Jack & Jill)! There's some border punching, a rolled flower (made with the same paper I used to make the bottom border of the card), and I also added a sweet little "Happy Birthday" tag sentiment to the card and tied it with black DMC and added it to the bold red ribbon!

Birthday Marci's been colored in with Copics and her sweet little panda bear has been layered to pop right out!  The Spellbinder label that Birthday Marci is on also has Helmar 3D Zap dots too! Birthday Marci's all ready to wish that special girl a very happy birthday!!

That's it for me for today!  Hope you have a fun day...try to get some creating in... and enjoy this beautiful summer day!!

h{ippity} hop Monday...Let's Paint it Up!!

Hello there and happy h{ippity} hop Monday!  I am hosting this week's challenge at SCS, so I hope that you will come and play along too!  This week, I am challenging you to "add paint" to your project!

For my card, I decided to use one of my Textile Hearts Cuttlebug combo die cut/emboss set.  First I die cut the heart..then, I embossed it! Right after embossing, I gently rubbed pink paint right over the raised edges, as well as the edges of the heart! Once it was dry, I took my Tim Holtz Tea Dye Ranger Distress Ink and rubbed it all over the heart to make it look vintage.

The beautiful sentiment I used is from the NEW ippity Summer 2010 release "Quotes a'La Happy" set!  I used a copic marker to color in the heart and word "love"!  Added a couple of little ivory buttons with a criss cross stitch of DMC floss into the button.  Adhered the button onto the crinkly ribbon and that's about it!!

Hugs & Smiles,
