Unity Hip Hop...Getting Ready!!

Hello there!  We are shaking things up again this week on the Unity Hop!!  Getting ready for December by sharing projects with you today on December Daily's (journal your Christmas)!!  It's never too early, and it's fun to actually start my December Daily!!

December Daily - Album Cover

If you are interested in this holiday tradition, you might want to check out Ali Edward's blog to see how she captures 25 days leading up to Christmas!  I am truly inspired now to complete the rest of this December Daily, as I've never tried capturing something like this!!

My album cover was made using a couple of Silhouette die cuts designed by Samantha Walker (8 piece scalloped round corner set C01032_19210 & swirly frame C00796-19210)!! All three layers to the cover are designed by Samantha...how cool!  Front and center is one of my very favorite stamp labels/sentiment from ippity called  "Season of Joy"!

I decided to go for a different feel for my Dec Daily, as I just recently purchased these lovely designer papers by Anna Griffin called "Calisto Christmas"!!  Love the vintage look to these papers, and I thought I would finally play with some Helmar Antique Acrylic Sealer! Everything has been sealed with this product to give a satin finish to the cover.  It also adds a little bit more strength to the album, which is always a good thing!

The flower has been layered 3 times using Prima flowers, then acrylic sealed, added some glitter and Tim Holtz brad to the center! It's pretty fun creating with this product, as it is flexible and dries in about 1/2 hour!

The holly leaves have also been sealed, and glittered...and also sprayed a little bit more with Glimmer Mist to achieve this color, and I've added Zapdots under the label, birdie paper, and leaves for added dimension!

Looking for more inspiration..head on over to see what fabulous project Kelly has created!!

Thanks for stopping by today!  By the way, {ippity} is starting SNEAK PEEKS this SUNDAY for another NEW RELEASE...THEY'RE AWESOME!!  I can't tell you enough how much I think you are gonna LOVE THEM TOO!!

Helmar "Halloween Howler Hop" Day!!

I've got a sweet little Kitty Cat Favor to share with you today!  This is such a fun..fun..fun project for you to make or one that easily can be made with kids, and it comes together pretty quickly!! Who's ready to play with Helmar products (smile)??

I just totally fell in love with this Silhouette "Kitty Cat Favor" die cut that was designed by Samantha Walker!!  So adorable, so I wanted to share this with you today!! You can surely dress it up in any way you desire! The entire project was adhered with my most fave...Helmar Premium Glue!!

The only other little details I added were the pink satin polka dot bow that is right behind the orange paper bow!! I accented the little Kitty with a pink pearl adhesive to the bow, and then added a couple of white pearl adhesives to the kitty's eye centers! I love the little shimmer it adds. And, yes, the little inside of the ears are sprayed with Bubble Gum Glimmer Mist (yummy)!!

Then, the last thing I added was a sweet little Making Memories tag that says..."too cute to spook"!! Isn't that so true about this favor!! The kitty's eyes have also been popped up using Helmar Zapdots..as well as the little tag!!

Here's a side view so you can see a little more of the width of the kitty favor!!  Oh and those delicious candy corns..well they are my latest find at Target! They are called blood orange candy corn..so sweet and yummy!!  Just love the tri-colors on these candy corns. The inside of the favor is filled with these delights, but I decided to share a few in the front display so, you can see what comes inside!!

Helmar Zapdots & Helmar Premium Craft Glue

Well that's it for me today!!  Hope you are so enjoying all the inspiration along the way...there is still some more so...

Unity Hop - "Boo Treats" Favor Bag

Hope that you've been enjoying all the Halloween projects that Unity and {ippity} designers are sharing with you today as you hop along!  I've got a really quick and easy project to share with you today!

"Boo Treats" Favor Bag

I love decorating and having little treats to hand out to friends and family during this time of the year!  So, I decided to use this Silhouette die, "Scalloped Favor Bag (C0156)" by Samantha Walker!  I love that the tiny little scallops go all the way around the treat bag!

Then, I took the "Hanging Ghost (C00931_19210)" Silhouette die designed by Samantha Walker and cut two each of the ghost, covered the back of the ghost with black cardstock so the eyes would be black.  I layered the ghost, using my Helmar 3D Zapdots and so he pops right off the bag!  I stamped my {ippity} "That's Creepy" stamp in black ink onto the orange paper.  I cut it out and popped it out using more Helmar 3D Zapdots!

The whole bag is backed with Martha Stewart "Friendly" designer papers.  There's some handstitching in orange, and also two different types of ribbon have been tied, and a sweet little flower added using my Helmar 450 Quick Dry Adhesive!  Then, the fun part...I filled it up with treats!! So, there you have a fun little favor bag to hand out to anyone who loves sweet treats!!

Now, it's time for you to hop on over to see what amazing project Kelly has to share with you today!

Today, I am showcasing lovely little Winter Marci!  I immediately fell in love with this little one and I knew right off that I had to color her in warm golden caramel colors.  You see my mother owned a winter coat just like this one and in this same color.  It brought me back to my childhood days remembering how much Mom just loved that coat!  So, as a tribute to my Mom, here's sweet Winter Marci wishing you all the "Warmest Winter Wishes"!!

The designer papers I used are by Basic Grey's Wisteria collection! Winter Marci has been placed right on top of my beautiful shaped Silhouette die "Artisans Nesting Rectangular (C00685_19210)" by Samantha Walker!  Then, I tucked three Silhouette "Snowflakes (C0301)" dies by Samantha Walker to go with my winter theme!  I just love that you can size & cut these snowflakes in different sizes!!  They'd be so sweet in  larger sizes too!!

Click on the photo, and you can see the buttons on her coat are tiny shiny gold adhesive pearls!!  The itty bitty stars that come right out of the snowflakes were layered on the ride side of the sentiment that has been popped up with Helmar 3D Zapdots, as well as the long rectange paper!

Sharing Star Boy Luka today on the La-La Land Blog, so thought I would share with my blog readers too!  He is one of the new Super Hero's you can find at La-La Land Crafts Store right now!!  Isn't he just the cutest & most brave little Super Hero you ever did see?  I just love his pose!!

Details - "Have a Super Day" 5 yr Birthday Card

When I saw him, I just knew he'd be perfect for my little nephew's "5th" birday..which is just around the corner!!  The background star shape is from my Silhouette, and so is the little "KAPOW" on the top right hand corner that highlights the number "5"!!  I raised it with Helmar 3D Zapdots, as well as the white background!

For some texture, I embossed the white background carstock with my Cuttlebug Herringbone folder!  Lastly, I added some little metal brads to the four corners of the card to make it a little more masculine!!   My little nephew's gonna have fun opening this card.  Once I tell him this is him as a Super Hero, I know he will have a little smile on his precious little face!!

Unity Hip Hop - Life is too short...

Thanks for stopping by for Unity's Hip Hop!! I've got a sweet little card to share with you today that I made with these ippity stamps:  "Quote a'La Happy" - sentiment & "Now & Always" - butterfly!!

I created a little patchwork quilt style for the background. I've been drawn to the "Thrift Shop" (flower pattern) by October Afternoon for quite some time, so I had fun playing with these papers. It reminds me of the sweet little outfits my Mom used to sew for my baby girl (whose now a teen) when she was younger! I just loved matching it up with the other "Fly a Kit" dot paper!  What better way to highlight this beautiful ippity sentiment... "Life is too short to be anything by HAPPY"!!

Now it's time for you to hop on over to Kelly's blog, to check out her fabulous creation!!

Unity Friends with Flair - I'll Pull You Through!!

It's Friends with Flair Day today, and I am so happy to be sharing a card that I had made with the Material Girl by Cosmo Cricket designer papers, and a past Unity KOTM - "Together We Bloom ".

When I saw these designer papers, I just knew that spools of thread stamp and sentiment would be fun to combine together! I colored the spools with my Copics, and the handmade flower was quickly made by just cutting out the flowers and layering with Helmar 3D Zap Dots! I added a pretty yellow button and tied a black DMC floss bow, added the beautiful Maya Road stick pin, and even cut out a piece of the measuring tape piece of paper and placed it on my card right underneath the stamped image!! Used pinking scissors to add a little more sewing flair to my card!!

Have a beautiful weekend!  I hope to spend some time out in the sun this weekend!  Maybe catch a movie and such!!  Whatever you do..make it a good one!!

Unity Hip Hop - Many Thanks the Paisley Way!!

Happy Hip Hoppin' Day Friends!!  I think with the little heat wave we've encountered here this week, I am into bright and sunshine-y type creations right now!!   I am kind of sad that the hot weather has decided to come right at the tail end of summer..but it is all good!  It's supposed to be a beautiful sunny weekend, and not too hot!

NEW ippity Bitty Pixie Paisley Stamp Set:

I had a blast using the new ippity "Bitty Pixie Paisley" stamp set to make this stamped paisley paper! Using a couple of Spellbinder die cuts, I placed the stamped paisley paper right in the center of the big flower die!! My decision to use this big flower die cut  was the sweet little tiny flowers that are  inside of the paisley stamp image!!  Thought it would match the same pattern.

Then, I cut out another Spellbinder die cut, and stamped the sweet little sentiment! Everything's backed in black to make everything pop! There are Helmar 3D Zap Dots to add some POP, and a few little "X" stitches to the sides of the card for a tad bit more fun!!   And, I just love this red check ribbon with my sunshine-y card..don't you? (giggle)

Now it's time for you to hop on over to Kelly's blog, to check out her fabulous creation!!

H{ippity} Hop...Casing it out!!

Time for another h{ippity} hop and I was excited about this one!  You see, Maria's IHHC32 challenge was based on "casing any ippity card from the gallery"!  There's so many awesome cards in the gallery, but I decided to use Heather's card to inspire me for my h{ippity} hop card!

I used the gorgeous papers from Cosmo Cricket's "Delovely" collection and the "Just Wanted to Say (label)", and "The Simple Things (sentiment)"!  Everything's been backed with a thin black cardstock backing, except for the card base, which I left about 1/4" black border for the main papers to really pop!  Speaking of pop...the label and the blue rectangle shape are both popped up with Helmar's 3D Zap Dots!  The ribbon folded piece has a couple of Helmar 3D Zap Dots as well!  I wanted to do a little something different with the black/white striped ribbon for a little fun twist, so I hope you like it!

Look at Heather's GORGEOUS ippity card below...isn't that an awesome design? Heather's soft color palette is divine and so are those beautiful papers!  The paper piecing is fabulous and she's truly created a beauty!!

Oh, and stop by Heather's blog to see more of her FABULOUS work and design work...love it!!  I am sure she would love for you to stop by and to say "hello"!!  Have a fun time hopping today and hope the rest of your week is a great one!!
