Lucky You...

Hey there friends...I hope you are having a wonderful week so far!
Today, I am sharing this sweet stamped image by Phyllis Harris.  It's a brand new Unity
stamp set!  There's quite a few new ones being released this week and on sale!

Here you can see a close-up of the Copic coloring, stitching, layering, and scalloped edging.

Then, I made these lovely little flowers to match the designer papers, and soft
palette to which I think these images lend so well!

"Lucky You" Sale at Unity Stamp Company is still going on...

I'll be sharing another one of these beautiful stamp images in
another project later this week!

The Only Thing More Beautiful...

Just sharing my card that
I am featuring on the Unity blog today!
I love inspirational messages, flowers, and butterflies...
So, I found a few lovely photos from Pinterest to help inspire me
to create a scenic framed card.

I created the little flutter of butterflies surrounding the beautiful "Go Get It Girl" image
to create a whimsical yet soft feel to my card.

Then, I colored the image with Copics, then added some
machine stitching, distressing, Wink of Stella to the butterflies for some shimmer,
and then placed it onto the printed flower background to tie it all together!

Have fun searching through Pinterest to help inspire
any of your Unity stamps!  There's always something out there
to get your mojo flowing!

Easter Greetings!!

So, how's your Sunday going so far?
It's warming up here, and I'm feeling Spring is right around the corner.
I never like to put my boots away, but do love my sandals!

Today, I am sharing this Easter Greetings card that features the Judy's Bloom die.
I wanted to make the flowers close to looking very natural and in full bloom...
so I used my distress stain, which seemed to be the right color palette for me!

Because this week's Cheery Lynn Designs challenge is "Easter", I had to
add my to Lace Egg dies (there's a nice variety in the Cheery Lynn Designs on-line store),
so check that out...they won't disappoint!!

I used the Sentiment Tag 3 to stamp the message, and added some flourishes,
and the sweet Sienna Double Edge border die beneath the sentiment!

Come join us in the challenge for a chance at a $20 gift certificate

List of dies used on my project:

Mini Fanciful Flourish Left

Have a terrific day!

Happy Thanksgiving - Give Thanks!

Giving thanks today, as we in the United States celebrate Thanksgiving!  I wanted to celebrate today with a beautiful card JUST FOR YOU!

I wanted, especially today, thank you for continuing to visit or follow my blog, & also for leaving me sweet & beautiful comments along the way (every one of them truly touches me)!  I read every one of them, and often find myself smiling right back at you!  So grateful & blessed for the wonderful online and real life friendships that have blossomed from sharing this love of crafting, so today seemed so fitting for me to extend gratitude and appreciation today.

Hope you like this card as much as I enjoyed creating it!  Aren't those designer papers by Samantha Walker so gorgeous?  I used my Silhouette for the die cuts that are designed by Samantha Walker, and the border punch that goes across is one of my latest findings by Martha Stewart (shame on her for making me want so many of these border punches)!   The Unity stamps I used (sentiment and little green leaves) are from the "Fall Family Memories" set!  PS **enabler alert** Unity Stamp Co. is having a sale right now, so check out all the Samantha Walker designs sets too!  It's an unbelievable sale, and great time to stock up or to purchase for friend as a gift!!

Have a GREAT Thanksgiving..blessings to you and your loved ones!!

Unity Friends with Flair - I'll Pull You Through!!

It's Friends with Flair Day today, and I am so happy to be sharing a card that I had made with the Material Girl by Cosmo Cricket designer papers, and a past Unity KOTM - "Together We Bloom ".

When I saw these designer papers, I just knew that spools of thread stamp and sentiment would be fun to combine together! I colored the spools with my Copics, and the handmade flower was quickly made by just cutting out the flowers and layering with Helmar 3D Zap Dots! I added a pretty yellow button and tied a black DMC floss bow, added the beautiful Maya Road stick pin, and even cut out a piece of the measuring tape piece of paper and placed it on my card right underneath the stamped image!! Used pinking scissors to add a little more sewing flair to my card!!

Have a beautiful weekend!  I hope to spend some time out in the sun this weekend!  Maybe catch a movie and such!!  Whatever you do..make it a good one!!

Friends with Flair - Now is the Time!

I tell you...I can't help it, but I am really really crazy over Unity's "She Sprouted Wings" scrapbooking and collage kit designed by Melody Ross!  This is my 2nd card using this kit, and I'd like to soon make a layout with this kit as well!  It's been awhile since I've made a layout, and I kind of miss the long process I tend to take to design a page!  But that's all good... So, for now, I share this "Now is the Time" card with you!

Today, I went for an antique and vintage look using my Graphic 45 designer papers, and Copics to color the bird cage with my E30's, and the birdie with warm greys.  To add a more feminine touch, I added that sweet lace and made another one of those rose flowers I am slightly addicted to right now!  The black die is from my Silhouette (dont'cha love it), and the other dies are from Spellbinders. I scrunched some crinkly seam binding ribbon underneath my rose flower for an added shimmery look!

Strawberries & Crinkled Roses...Makes me Happy!!

It's Friday..It's Friends with Flair Day..It's time to share not one..but two cards with you!!  So here we go... for the first one..

My inspiration for my card came from that delicious stramberry stamp in the Unity, April KOTM - "Together we Bloom", as well as these fun October Afternoon papers.  Being that the local strawberry festival is kicking off today, it put me in the mood to make this card to share with you today!!  Makes me feel like having a slice of strawberry pie...yummm!!

The strawberry is colored in with Copics. I cut a little piece of the paper and made a little strawberry center for the center of my flower! There's a little fun handstitching and the card base is a Silhouette shape! I just adore all these different shapes for cards and layouts!! The strawberry pops out using my Helmar 3D Zap Dots, as well as the sweet little sentiment!

My second card, is being featured on the {ippity} blog today, if you would like jump over there later to take a peek and see the full details of what inspired me for FRESH IDEA FRIDAY project, using the {ippity} "Now & Always" & "Love in Return" stamp set, just click right here!!

Fabulous Day for "Friends with Flair"!!

Happy Friday...hope you are having a good week! Did anyone pull an April fool's joke on you yesterday? My husband attempted, but I caught him before I fell for it! I, on the other hand, played one.. and got away with it, until I decided to fess up!! He hee he!!

For this card, I wanted it to have a little shabby feel as these new papers by Basic Grey just called out "distress" to me!! So, I decided to mix it up today by joining my Copics with Ranger distress inks. The flower image was stamped, colored, and then later distressed with "Tea Dye" Ranger Distress Ink. And, talk about mixing it up...I used two different sets of Unity Stamps! The flower is from the "Be Owl Mine" set, and the little tiny envelope and sweet sentiment are from the "Sending my Love" set!
The green scallop is a die cut from my "Persia" Combo Cuttlebug set! I backed it up with BG pink distressed paper that I ran through my Cuttlebug using the Cuttlebug D'Vine Swirl folder!

I used a small hole punch and tied a couple of threads of twine through to make a couple of little bows on the sides of the stamped image. And, the pink eyelet lace, well that was on of my big "cheap" scores at Michael's this week! I bought a package of 6 yds/ribbon by Making Memories for only $.99!! Gotta love that!!

And, of course, my newest love of 3d Zap Dots by Helmar! I love dimension and I love the way these zap dots just make the image POP RIGHT OUT...along with giving the appearance that the pink lace is wrapped around the card in a double layer!! I only used a few inches and tucked it in here and there!! You know how sometimes fabric on cards does not stick to well.. by using my Helmar Fabric Glue, I've eliminated that problem!! That lace is not gonna be lifting at all!
